NextCapital Completes SOC 2 Examination, Reinforcing Its Commitment to Data Security and Compliance

March 20th, 2022
Chicago, Ill. — NextCapital, the leader in enterprise digital advice, successfully completed its 2021-22 System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 examination, demonstrating a sound commitment to protecting client data. Conducted by independent CPA firm Schellman & Company, LLC, the examination confirms that NextCapital’s policies and procedures meet the SOC 2 standards of security and availability for its enterprise managed advice services.

“In keeping with NextCapital’s core values of accuracy and transparency, we’re happy to share with our clients and partners that our SOC 2 controls are well-designed and operationally effective,” said Stone Zhou, Information Security Manager at NextCapital. “Clients can be confident that we’re fully invested in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NextCapital and partner information assets.”

Organizations can choose from five Trust Services categories to be included in the SOC 2 examination. NextCapital was evaluated against the security category, which focuses on the protection of information and systems, and the availability category, which centers around the accessibility of data to both an entity’s systems and to its products or services. This rigorous examination is one of several measures NextCapital has taken to provide transparency as a trusted platform partner in the highly regulated financial technology space.
